, the iconic global brand for bodybuilding and seriously fun fitness, kicked off its 40th
Anniversary festivities at the annual IHRSA Convention and Trade Show in Orlando this week. The anniversary celebrations include a new advertising campaign, limited edition apparel and events around the globe.
“At 40 years young, World Gym is growing faster than ever,” said Joyce J. Cammilleri, Chair of World Gym International. “We started this year with agreements for 40 new gyms on 4 continents and 7 countries. As we celebrate our heritage, we will continue to build our future with our commitment to being the fastest growing and most exciting full-service global gym brand.”
World Gym kicks off its anniversary with a party at IHRSA in Orlando for its franchisees and partners. In April, World Gym will participate in the FIBO Global Fitness fair in Cologne, Germany. Individual World Gym owners in 20 countries will also host individual events for new and prospective members to commemorate the milestone, which will culminate at the World Gym Convention in Las Vegas in September.
To help World Gym owners celebrate, World Gym has created the “Evolution of Fitness” campaign which celebrates fitness trends and fashion fads from the past 40 years and reminds everyone that seriously fun fitness is timeless.
World Gym has also created a collection of limited edition 40th
Anniversary apparel and promotional items that will be available at participating World Gym locations globally.
Earlier this year, World Gym premiered a series of fitness videos starring its 2016 Global Fitness Ambassadors which can be seen on the World Gym International Facebook Page
